As Neymar edges closer to a PSG exit, the question now turns to the Brazilian's successor.

The Neymar saga drags on. Extraordinarily talented, a trailblazer some would say, the Brazilian attacker comes with his own set of problems. Such has put his Paris Saint-Germain future in severe doubt. He’s gone as far as to miss a week’s pre-season training in order to force a move. Now, PSG are open to offloading him.

Neymar’s most likely destination is Barcelona. The Catalans are reportedly preparing a £90million-plus-players offer. PSG, having purchased him for more than double that amount only two summers ago, could widen their net to recoup money paid. Rumours suggest Barca’s sworn enemy, Real Madrid is weighing up a bid.

Wherever Neymar ends, Les Parisiens will be left with a gaping hole. Since arriving at Le Parc des Princes, the world’s most expensive player has proven instrumental in two title triumphs, bagging 34 Ligue 1 goals in 36 starts during that period. His mastery to weave through small gaps, set up teammates, and effortlessly finish off moves himself will all be huge misses. Is there anyone out there who can come close to replacing him?

Regardless, PSG must turn to someone. Here are three possibilities.
